Why? I don’t know. It just doesn’t make sense. All of these are things that you and I might think or say on any given week. The reason for this is because we live in a fallen world where many sad, hurtful and broken things occur and even hurt and affect us. We may askContinue reading “Living with the mystery”

An urgency to our testimony
We live in a fast food culture. Waiting 3 minutes for our food is too long and waiting 30 seconds for a red light is enough to set people off in fits of rage. In so many ways we live too fast, too furious and as such live distracted from the most important things. ThereContinue reading “An urgency to our testimony”
Jesus, the same yesterday, today and forever
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. This world is predictable: it changes. Things grow and things die Seasons come and seasons go. No matter what else we know about this life, we can be certain that the things that are today will somehow change tomorrow. But in the midstContinue reading “Jesus, the same yesterday, today and forever”
Unhindered Worship
I have a tough question for you and me: do we expect to encounter God Himself in worship and prayer and when we are in His Word? Do we believe that indeed we will have a supernatural encounter, interaction and communion of our spirit with His in the midst of worship? Do we pray forContinue reading “Unhindered Worship”
Does God believe in me?
Does God believe in me? We all have heard that we are supposed to believe in God. Many times we trust the person in front of us based upon how our trust was treated by the lastContinue reading “Trust”
Working out our salvation

I happen to believe I can add a few more things to that list. I believe it is universal that people desire to be heard, loved and valued. Further,Continue reading “Working out our salvation”
The hidden and lurking danger Christians need to see in this election
There is much conversation, accusation, argument and division over the current state of affairs in the USA as well as the potential direction that the two primary candidates/parties are seeking to take the country. And yet, my greatest concern in this election season is not the political direction of our country.
Christ, who is your life
If you are a believer in Jesus Christ and have actually confessed your sins and believed in Him for salvation and a new reality, I want to remind you that Jesus Christ is your new life. Colossians 3:4 reminds us of the truth that Christ is our life and Colossians 3:3 lets us know thatContinue reading “Christ, who is your life”
The new life
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20 What is the new lifeContinue reading “The new life”
