Becoming saints, elders and people of great faith

How do we become more than we have been? How do we become something new, something better, something different?

Do you know that there is a call on your life, for you to be a conqueror, an overcomer, a victor? You are called to live more than a status quo, half-way, lukewarm, so-so kind of life.

The call on each of us is a call to rise above. We are invited to participate in greatness. We are beckoned to partner with excellence, dream with the Divine, create with the Creator and to indeed become saints, elders and faith-filled/faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

And this is possible!

It is possible to live victoriously. It is possible to live an extraordinary life of faith and trust. And in so living we will see the kingdom of God and heaven itself ushered into the present. God is able to do more than we can ever ask or imagine. God is capable of saving to the uttermost, delivering from the pit, bestowing exceedingly abundant blessings, and transforming us into overcomers. Do you believe this? Will you let Him?

For you and I to become saints of God we simply must let Him save us. But to become the kind of saints and believers that break through the gates of hell to rescue the perishing and move mountains by faith and for the glory of God we must:

  • Allow God to break us. Break us of pride and self-sufficiency and self-exaltation and self-esteem and self-aggrandizement
  • Allow God to humble us. So we don’t have to defend ourselves. So we don’t have to make a name for ourselves. So our only care is that He gets the glory.
  • Allow God to establish our dependence on Him. Not on the things of this world. Not on the approval of men. Everything we need is in Him

The breaking, humbling, dependance building work that God is doing in each of us can be painful and takes time, but if we let Him do it, it will be done, for He will finish the work He began in each of us, that’s His promise and our certainty! Let us press into God daily, that we may become the saints, elders, and people of great faith that He died for us to become.
