Give God your junk

“Encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin…Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts” Hebrews 3:13 &15

Dear Christian, I want to encourage you today. I want to impart to you courage and strength and power from the Lord Jesus Christ and in His name that you will stand firm in your faith and boldly live out the calling you have received from God Himself.

So here (I hope and pray) is some encouragement for your soul:

Remember God is speaking to you today. He is calling you by name to slow down, pause, stop, be still and hear that He is near and that He is speaking.

What God is speaking now are words of redemption and sanctification.

God is speaking today to you and to me about how He wants to take the broken things in our lives and turn them into something good. God is speaking to you and to me today about how He wants to take everything in our life and make it good and holy for His purposes.

  • God wants to take your fears and turn them into faith.
  • God wants to take your impossible circumstances and turn them into His miracles.
  • God wants to take your mistakes and imperfections and yet reveal His perfection.
  • God wants to take your sin and give you instead His holiness.
  • God wants to take your anger and give you His peace.
  • God wants to take your sickness and show you that His grace is sufficient to heal and deliver.
  • God wants to take your lack and reveal His abundant supply.

And I could go on and on and on.

God has said to us through Peter’s words that we are to cast all of our cares on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

So today be encouraged! God is speaking to you. He is speaking to you by His Holy Spirit and I believe He is speaking to you by the words in this blog post! This is what He is speaking:

“Let me have what is troubling you and that which is too much for you, indeed let me have it all today and I will give you myself and all of the riches of my kingdom. Come to me and I will give you rest. Let me redeem and sanctify all the mess in your life.”

Please don’t harden your hearts to this message from the Lord. Please don’t turn a deaf ear to this gospel and instead hold on to junk. Let go and receive God’s treasures instead! Take time today to pray and give it all to God, then watch and see what God will do.
